In a futuristic Japanese metropolis controlled by powerful corporations, reality is merely a digital illusion dictated by the people in power. Maya Chen was a college science student juggling shifts just to survive until an experimental nanotech accident bound to her DNA giving her shapeshifting abilities.
With the power to morph her physical form, manifest weaponized apparel, and manipulate the tech around her with signature “glitch” camouflage, Maya is thrust into an existential crisis of identity. She takes to the streets like a silent vigilante, but fighting back against the establishment pulls her far deeper into a web of conspiracy than she ever anticipated. As rogue wetware syndicates, corporate tyrants, and her corrupted former mentor Dr. Thane collide, Maya realizes they are all racing to awaken the Elder Algorithm a primordial intelligence that views human consciousness as a glitch to be erased.
